The website doesn't indicate whether there is a location-based aspect, but this would be a ripe use case for bringing in check-in function, also reemphasizing the local nature of the project.

Local businesses add vibrancy to their communities and break up the sameness of big box stores that can make somewhere special feel like just another carbon copy of Generica America. These small businesses often lack the resources to take on digital campaigns. Supportland and initiatives like it are stepping up to fill a gap and offer benefits of economies of scale to networks of small shops. Bravo!
